Nespresso® Design Contest - Coffee Luxury

Nespresso® Pure Water, uma nova gama de águas para acompanhar os cafés Nespresso, proporciona aos consumidores uma experiência ainda mais intensa. Esta gama de águas tem correspondência com as misturas Nespresso, através das cores das tampas; podemos assim escolher a água associada à nossa mistura favorita, ou tentar novas combinações, escolhendo cores diferentes. Existirão dois tipos de água: um para beber com o café Nespresso, e outro para utilizar nas máquinas Nespresso.
A forma das garrafas, feitas em vidro e com capacidade para 500ml, lembra a forma das cápsulas Nespresso. As tampas, feitas em plástico, terão as cores dessas cápsulas. O logotipo da Nespresso aparece gravado no fundo da garrafa, com a mesma cor da tampa da garrafa, gerando interessantes efeitos de cor e formas.
As garrafas serão vendidas numa embalagem cilindrica, negra, de modo a proteger a água da luz e a preservar as suas qualidades, e terão a indicação de uso para beber ou máquina.

Nespresso® Pure Water, a new line of waters to accompany the Nespresso coffees, presenting the consumers with an even more intense experience. This line of waters matches the Nespresso blends, by the colours of the covers; this way, we can choose the water associated to our favorite blend, or try new combinations, by choosing different colours. There will be two types of water: one to drink along with the Nespresso coffee, and another to use on the Nespresso machines.

The shape of the bottles, made in glass and with 500ml capacity, recalls the shape of the Nespresso capsules. The covers, made in plastic, will have the colours of those capsules. The Nespresso logo is engraved on the bottom of the bottle, with the same colour of the bottle cover, creating interesting colour and shape effects.
The bottles will be sold on a cilindrical black package, to protect the water from light and preserve its qualities, and will have the indication of drink or machine use.

Conjunto de copos de refeição, empilháveis, composto por 3 copos de tamanhos diferentes, para água, vinho tinto e vinho branco. Os copos podem ser empilhados com outros do mesmo tamanho ou de tamanho diferente. São feitos em vidro através de técnica manual, de sopro, o qual tem de ser direccionado e controlado para se conseguir a forma desejada.
A embalagem para este conjunto de copos é feita em cartão; numa única placa é feita a estrutura exterior e a interior, na qual os copos serão encaixados, através de pressão, em orificios existentes para o efeito. Não são necessárias colagens; toda a embalagem funciona com dobras e encaixes. Quando montada, a embalagem mede 27x10x10cm.

 
 
Collection of meal glasses, able to pile up, composed by 3 glasses of different sizes, for water, red wine and white wine. The glasses can be pilled with others with the same size, or different sizes. They are made in glass with a manual technic, of blow, which has to be directed and controled to achieve the desired shape.
The package for this set is made in cardboard; only one plaque will be necessary to make both inside and outside structures. The glasses will be incased on the inside struture, through pressure, on holes made for that purpose. Collages won’t be needed; the package works only with folds and notches. In the end, the package will measure 27x10x10cm.

Projecto realizado para o 2º Concurso Internacional de Diseño Roca. Sob o tema do bem-estar, criou-se um ambiente relaxante, sereno e harmonioso, baseado numa relação íntima com a Natureza. O ambiente é dominado por uma grande paisagem natural, que ocupa toda a parede do fundo, junto à área de banhos e hidromassagem. É um espaço unificado e aberto. Uma grande estrutura, moldada a partir de círculos, ocupa a maior parte do espaço da casa-de-banho. Nesta estrutura, coberta por madeira escura, são encastrados os equipamentos necessários (lavatório, chuveiro, sanita, bidé e banheira de hidromassagem). Há ainda a presença de luz ambiente, em redor da banheira, de modo a poder proporcionar um ambiente mais intimista e relaxante naquela zona específica.

Project made for the 2nd International Design Competition by Roca. Under the theme of Wellness, is was created a relaxing, calm and harmonious environment, based on an intimate connection with Nature. The environment is dominated by a large natural landscape, occupying all the farthest wall, near the bathing and hydromassaging area. It’s an unified and open space. A large structure, moulded from circles, takes most of the bathroom space. On this structure, covered in dark wood, are engaged the usual bathroom equipments (wash-basin, shower, toilet, bidet and hydromassage bath tub). There is also the presence of ambient lightning, surrounding the bath tub, allowing a more intimate and relaxing environment on that specific area.

Cadeira empilhável, para o Concurso de Design Industrial da Adico, inserido no certame Oporto Show 07. Cadeira jovem e moderna, que combina planos e curvas, tornando-se visualmente apelativa para uma utilização em exterior. O número de operações e junções foi limitado ao mínimo. 

O assento é feito em madeira de faia, com 12mm de espessura. A placa é conformada até tomar a forma desejada. Os pés são feitos em aço tubular com 25mm de espessura; a peça é composta por dois elementos conformados até terem a forma pretendida, e soldados.

Heapable chair, made for the Adico’s Industrial Design Competition, shown at the Oporto Show 07. It’s a young and modern chair, that combines planes and curves, becoming visually appelative to an outside use. The number of operations and joins was reduced to the minimum.

The seat is made in beech-tree wood, with thickness of 12mm. The plaque is moulded until the desired shape is achieved. The feet are made in tubular steel with thickness of 25mm; the part is composed by two elements moulded to achieved the desired shape, and welded.
